Some churches see visitation as a thing of the past. But the goal of our visitation team at Bread of Life Fellowship is to let people know they are cared for- even when they cant get out and come to church. Visiting helps keep people connected to the church. When they can’t come to church- the church can come to them!!
It lets people know they are not forgotten. They are still loved and valued. It is an opportunity to be God’s hand extended. We usually sing with them , read some scriptures and take them a candy treat or something we know they like. The scriptures say I was sick and you did not come visit me! The kind things we do for others pleases God as though we did it for HIM! So, when we go visiting, we are doing it as unto the Lord! Visitation is a wonderful ministry in the church.
